Our client is a leading consumer brand name with operations across all continents. The Luxembourg entity manages up to 50 LuxCos holding a combined participation of over 50 billion EUR.

We are working with our client to source a finance professional with solid Luxembourg experience to take on responsibility for the daily management of these holding companies including but not limited to: Tax, Treasury and Consolidations plus some corporate and fiscal matters.

 

The Role:

Supervision of the full accounting and reporting for the numerous Holding Companies (30%):

Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of US and Lux GAAP set of books

Manage and supervise month-end-closing process, Corporate Reporting

Interact with other departments and US Consolidations

Daily management of the Holdings Companies (50%):

Participate in planning as well as manage and follow-up the implementation of company structure reorganizations (step plans), acquisitions, divestures, distributions and  ensure correct recordings in this respect

Ensure completeness and execution of legal documentation

Ensure timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns

Ensure respect of agreements (loans, service agreements) with Inter-companies and 3rd parties

Ensure compliance to fiscal and statutory requirements (Advance Tax Agreements, substance, tax  reviews) and review of tax clearance letters before submission

Interact with numerous stakeholders i.e. Corporate Tax, Treasury, Consolidations, Local Tax and  legal advisors

Luxembourg Statutory Accounts and Reporting (20%):

Prepare and analyze the Interim and Annual Statutory Accounts for the bi-annual board meeting

Actively participate in bi-annual board meetings

Statutory consolidation of several Branches and Head Office

Drive the statutory audit of the Holding Companies

Complete and submit the annual financial statements to the Luxembourg authorities

 

The Profile:

University and/or Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and/or CPA

5-7 years of related accounting experience, preferably in Luxembourg

Strong knowledge of LUX GAAP and ideally some US GAAP

Proven experience in month-end closing process and financial reporting as well as in  preparation and review of statutory LUX GAAP accounts is essential

Familiarity with Holding structures is important

Fluency in English
